FAMLI - Colorado Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program After receiving bipartisan voter approval in 2020, Colorado’s new Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program (FAMLI) is almost here and will impact nearly every employer and worker in Colorado in some way. FAMLI supports employees and businesses by protecting and supporting them during life events. Employees can receive up to 12 weeks of paid leave, with partial wage replacement benefits paid directly from the State, saving employers the cost of wages during an employee's absence.
While employees won't begin accessing this benefit until 2024, businesses must begin collecting premiums starting January 2023. All employers will be required to register with the FAMLI Division before the first premium payments are due at the end of the first quarter 2023. Visit the State's FAMLI Website
