West Metro Chamber Young Professionals

Are you a 40 year-old or younger professional looking to network? If so, join our YP group!

The West Metro Chamber Young Professionals group engages and connects young professionals throughout Jefferson County and the West Metro region. By building relationships with other local business leaders, West Metro Chamber YP members advance their careers and become leaders in their community. The program is guided by a Steering Committee, which is made up of Chamber Members who are young professionals in their fields. YP benefits include access to community leaders, ongoing leadership training and engagement with a network of young professionals who share a similar drive to improve their personal careers and community.

Why you should serve on the Young Professionals Steering Committee:

“Being a part of the Young Professionals Steering Committee has allowed me the opportunity to connect with and support my community, develop strong leadership skills and gain valuable professional development. Serving with a diverse group of my peers has provided an environment that has been supportive, nurturing and a safe place to grow.”

– Whitney Nielsen, West Metro Chamber Young Professionals – Chair (2020), 2018 – current

“When I was thinking about professional and personal development, the steering committee has enabled me to be involved as a YP leader in the community, stay up to date with relevant events and policies, and meet fantastic forward-thinking people. At the end of the day, many of us run small businesses, and the confidence this group has added for me to confidently point friends, family, and clients to the appropriate people or businesses is invaluable.”

– Thomas Kovell, West Metro Chamber Young Professionals, 2020 – current

As a member of the West Metro Chamber Young Professionals Steering Committee, I’ve enjoyed being able to connect with people and businesses in the community I live and work in. Serving as a member has given me the opportunity to give back to that community in a leadership role, as well as the opportunity to grow professionally in my own career. It has been personally rewarding witnessing the combined efforts of the Steering Committee over the years continue expand the West Metro Chamber Young Professionals into the resourceful dynamic group it has become and continues to become.

– Eric Miller, West Metro Chamber Young Professionals, 2016 – 2021

“West Metro Chambers Young Professionals Steering Committee has been a wonderful experience and it has been instrumental in helping me connect me with many wonderful people. Through this program, I learned about the Leadership Jefferson County program and was able to participate, and I’ve also been given the opportunity to work with other young professionals helping them connect with businesses. It’s been great helping plan and execute events, and especially learning how leadership and the chamber actively support and advocate for small businesses.”

– Erika Holley, West Metro Chamber Young Professionals, 2020 – 2021
