Understanding the challenges of women in business isn’t just about the plight of working moms. Or only about microaggressions towards Women of Color. Or simply about covert discrimination towards people with different gender identities and expressions. The challenges we face are as multifaceted as our identities. The truth is women navigate a minefield of workplace hurdles when we show up as our authentic selves. The obstacles are even greater for women who exist at the intersection of many identities.
This panel of experts won’t shy away from brutal honesty. We will highlight the experiences of four women business owners. Each identifying as different races, ethnicities, parental statuses, disabilities, gender identities, and more. We’ll share our experiences, observations, and thoughts. And speak to how everyone regardless of identity can make business culture safer for women to exist and thrive in.
